ROAD SAFETY AWARENESS WEEK  IN GRADS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL GR.NOIDA

Greater Noida: Grads International school, Greater Noida celebrated Road Safety Awareness day on May 19, Thursday under the week long Road safety awareness program.  The program was a part of the Government of Uttar Pradesh’s  Road Safety Awareness campaign initiated by the Chief  Minister Sh. AdityanathJogiji. Ms Aditi Basu Roy, Principal Grads International school spoke to children about the importance of road safety. She highlighted the necessity of wearing helmets on two wheelers for both the driver and the pillion rider , wearing seat belts while driving or sitting in a four-wheeler and the inevitable need of possessing a legal driving licence. She also asked students to be the watch dogs for the drivers and request the elders to follow the traffic rules.

This was followed by Oath Taking Ceremony by Ms. Sushila, the Safety Council In-charge of the school. Children of Grads International School pledged to follow traffic rules and take all road safety measures. They promised to wear a helmet, not use mobile phone while driving and taking care of an accident victims and help them reach the hospital. The students then performed PrabhatPheri  wearing the helmets that  had been distributed to the students by the school earlier. The children marched in front of the nearby residential societies  Narmada Enclave,  Migsun and Ansal Society carrying banners and shouting slogans as Alert Today Alive Tomorrow, Speed Thrills but Kills , Don’t Drink and Drive and more to spread awareness about road safety. Director Dr. Roya Singh and Vice Principal Mrs. Malaya Paul were also present at the occasion.
