Greater Noida: The Kerala Association of Greater Noida recently hosted a beautiful Onam celebration, bringing together members of the community to rejoice in the rich cultural heritage of Kerala. The event was graced by esteemed guests, including District Magistrate of Gautam Buddha Nagar, Mrs. Medha Roopam, IAS, as the Chief Guest. Other notable guests included Shri K. Alphons, Ex IAS officer and Union Minister, Mrs. Nivedita Haran, Ex IAS officer, Mrs. Aditi Basu Roy, Principal of Grads International School, and Mr. Gajanan Mali, Founder of Tennews.

The celebration commenced with a colorful procession of ladies dressed in traditional Kasavu sarees, accompanied by traditional drummers, welcoming Maharaja Vali. The event featured captivating cultural performances showcasing Kerala’s traditions and customs. A sumptuous traditional Onam lunch was also served, highlighting the state’s culinary expertise. Mrs. Medha Roopam began her speech with a melodious prayer song and delivered her address in Malayalam. Mrs. Aditi Basu Roy emphasized the importance of preserving cultural diversity, requesting everyone to practice and promote their mother language and distinctive culture in the spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat.
