Gautam Buddh Nagar DM Medha Roopam inaugurates inter-school competition at St. Joseph School, Sector Alpha-1
Greater Noida: St. Joseph School, Sector Alpha-1, Greater Noida, organised its inter-school competition, S.J.S. Talentia-2026, on Saturday, bringing together more than 250 participants from 15 schools across Greater Noida, Noida, Ghaziabad, Hathras, Aligarh, Agra and other cities. Students showcased their talent in singing, art, photography, videography, science, logical thinking, problem-solving and teamwork through eight different competitions. The event was inaugurated by Gautam Buddh Nagar District Magistrate Medha Roopam, who lit the ceremonial lamp alongside the school’s Principal, Father Jipson Palatty; Manager, Father Andrew Correa; Father Sebastian; and other dignitaries. Addressing the students, the chief guest encouraged them to dream big, work hard and remain committed to achieving their goals. Quoting the popular lines, “Those who try never fail,” she emphasised that determination and consistent effort are essential for success.

She also highlighted the importance of social responsibility, urging students to consider the interests of the weakest sections of society before taking any decision. She said that every action should be guided by fairness and sensitivity towards others. The District Magistrate congratulated the school management for organising the event and wished the participants success.
Eight competitions showcase diverse talents
The competition featured eight categories designed to encourage creativity, analytical thinking, communication and collaborative skills among students. These included SwarAnjali (group singing), Character Hearing (perspective presentation and mock trial), Frame the Fame (photography and videography), Strokes Roulette (art), Synergy Spice (coordination, detective skills and school crisis management), Quantum Quest (science), Trigger Tactics (mobile phone usage) and Power Play Action (best team selection).To ensure a fair and professional assessment, the school invited its former students, now working in different professional fields, to serve as judges and evaluate the participants.

The event was organised under the supervision of Principal Father Jipson Palatty, who entrusted the overall coordination and management to computer expert Saurabh Kumar Sharma and Shashi Sharma. Teachers and students of the St. Joseph School family worked together to ensure the smooth conduct of the programme.
The school management also arranged refreshments and meals for the participants and guests. The event provided students with an opportunity to demonstrate their abilities, exchange ideas and learn from their peers while fostering creativity, confidence and teamwork.
