Greater Noida : St. Joseph School, Sector Alpha-1, Greater Noida, organized the Annual Day Celebration of the Primary Classes on the late evening of Thursday, 8th October 2026. The vibrant programme showcased the remarkable talent of young students in singing, music, dance, public speaking and other performing arts.The programme was graced by noted film actress Ms. Ritu Shivpuri as the Chief Guest, while Mr. Dharmendra Narula, President of Guru Kripa Group, Punjab and Founder of social organization Ek Noor, attended as the Guest of Honour.The event was attended by Principal Father Gipson Palatty, School Manager Father Andrew Correa, former Principal Father Paul Thanikal, former Headmistress of Primary Classes Sister Mary Cherian (Sister Vijaya), Sister Prema, Father K. K. Thomas, Father Shaji Palamattam, Father Sebastian Kallithanam and representatives of various reputed schools. Mr. Mukul Gupta, Head of Classes IX to XII, Delhi Public School, Sector Gamma-2, along with representatives from Ryan International School, Summer Ville School and other institutions, also graced the occasion. A large number of parents, teachers, staff members and distinguished guests were present.The celebration commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Principal, Chief Guest and other dignitaries.

This was followed by a soulful rendition by the young students:

Tamaso Ma Jyotirgamaya,
Mrityor Ma Amritam Gamaya.
Om Shanti Shanti Shanti.”The Chief Guest Ms. Ritu Shivpuri, daughter of renowned actor of the 1970s Late Shri Om Shivpuri, is herself a successful and accomplished actress who has carved a distinctive identity in the Indian film industry.Students presented a colourful spectrum of cultural programmes including dance, theatre and music. The presentations beautifully depicted glimpses of diverse civilizations and cultures of countries including South Africa, Spain, Japan, along with the rich and varied cultural heritage of India. The audience applauded the confidence and talent of the young performers with enthusiastic applause.Felicitation of AchieversAs part of the ceremony, students who had secured excellent results in Class X and Class XII Board Examinations in the previous academic session were felicitated by the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour. Their parents were specially invited to share the proud moment.The felicitation carried a powerful message – there is no substitute for hard work and sincere effort is always rewarded.

The satisfaction and pride on the faces of parents reflected their confidence in the quality education and guidance being imparted at St. Joseph School. Students who excelled in various other fields were also honoured.Message to StudentsAppreciating the talent of children, Mr. Dharmendra Narula said that such exceptional talent is not seen in every institution. He lauded teachers, trainers and parents for their dedicated efforts.He advised students never to let success create ego, and to surrender both success and failure to God. Quoting the timeless wisdom, he said:“Jab main tha tab Hari nahin, ab Hari hain main nahin.


Prem gali ati sankari, taamen do na samahin.”He emphasized that when the ego of “I” disappears, one becomes closer to the Divine.It may be noted that the Annual Day was a two-day celebration. The previous day, the Pre-Primary Classes – Nursery, L.K.G. and U.K.G. – had showcased their talents.Principal Father Gipson Palatty had made special arrangements for refreshments and hospitality, with clear instructions to staff that no visitor, irrespective of age or position, should face any inconvenience regarding food, water or other requirements.In his concluding address, Father Palatty said that the achievements of students were not the result of the school’s efforts alone, but also the contribution and cooperation of their families. Appealing to parents to strengthen the bond of trust, he said:“There are only two people in the world who genuinely rejoice when they see someone progressing ahead of them – the first are parents, and the second are teachers.”He urged parents to continue walking alongside the school with mutual trust, adding that together they will certainly succeed in establishing a healthy and progressive society.
