Grads International School Students Visit to Rashtrapati Bhavan and Parliament museum

New Delhi/Greater Noida:  Grads International School Students of grade 7th to 11th of visited Rashtrapati Bhavan and Parliament museum along with our Principal Aditi Basu Roy , Vice Principal Malaya Mam and four teachers . In order to celebrate Azadi ka Amrit mahotsav and to know about our freedom struggle and our constitution, children were given the chance to visit these places. Rashtrapati Bhavan museum is built in three floors. This is a world class museum in high tech story telling format with contextual stories woven around original collections. It was a guided tour, the guide told us the stories and explained everything in a very interesting way.

The photographs of the earlier works of Sir Edwin Lutyens and Sir Herbert Baker, his designed building and furniture were on display. The personal belongings of our Ex Presidents Shri Pranab Mukherjee, Mrs Pratibha Patil and Shri Ram Nath Kovind were also put in exhibition . Children were delighted to see Mercedes Benz 500 SEL car which has served five presidencies since 1992to 2012. It was amazing to see our constituent assembly drafting constitution with all important leaders sitting . In the upper basement children could see various awards.

Children were very excited the most exciting thing was the 3D theatre show cases the movie title ‘Mere ek kadam se’ which speaks about the role of Mahatma Gandhi in freedom struggle. It had a 3D impact that we were walking with Gandhiji .This was an amazing feeling. After that children were taken to the Parliament Museum. Children received lotd of information to our children about how our constitution was written by hand in beautiful calligraphy. Children saw many gifts our Prime ministers and presidents received when they had their foreign visits. Students could also hear patriotic songs which were sung at the time of our nationalist struggle in different languages.That was truly an awesome experience. Our children were very excited to gain so much of information.
