FDP Valedictory Session Addressing at Lloyd College Dr. Girdhari Lal Garg, AICTE

Greater Noida: Valedictory Session of AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy Sponsored One Week Online Faculty Development Program on “Life Skill Development of Educators through Inner Transformation” by “Art of Living” was chaired by Dr. Girdhari Lal Garg, Assistant Director, AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) Cell, AICTE New Delhi. Around 200 participants from 120 different colleges & schools & 20 different states registered for the program.
During the Valedictory session, Dr. Garg quoted, “Whenever we say “YES” to anything around us, our consciousness broadens & we feel more creative and innovative”. The term “creativity” that one must include in their teaching professions would ensure their better existence in the world. He also said that “The things that we learned though this FDP session must be well executed in our life, which would ultimately help us in improving our quality life & indirectly to our students”.
This FDP featured 14 interactive sessions extended over a period of 28 hours which was meticulously designed for the smooth and effortless conduction of online sessions which were conducted by renowned/professional trainers from The Art of Living Foundation and Instructors like Mr. Rajeev Nambiar, Director, Institutional Programs/ National Teachers Coordination, The Art of Living Foundation, Bengaluru, Mr. Vishesh Deep, State Director, Delhi NCR, The Art of Living Foundation. Yoga Instructor, Mr. Abhishek Pachauri, Lloyd, very well engaged the participants for their coherent interaction during these sessions. He demonstrated some basic physical exercises & asanas with correct postures and their benefits throughout the session. The Chair Yoga, one of the modified versions of traditional yoga was an interesting session.
The sessions featured few important topics like “Effective Communication & Introduction to Meditation”, “Responsibility, Team Dynamics & Effective Communication”, and “Effectively Handling Stress at Work” “Coping with Uncertainty & Dynamics of Happiness & Yoga”, “Meditation Workshop” “Training on Basic Yoga Practices”, & “Training on Breathing Practices” to be mentioned a few purposes to instill a spirit of well being amongst the participants and help them achieve harmony within self and dissipate the same in their surroundings and society as a whole.
The major goal of this FDP was to teach techniques for relieving stress, anxiety, and depression & to ensure the mental peace and wellbeing of participants. To acquaint the participants with immunity-building practices so as to ensure good health and to improve the energy levels and motivate the teachers. It certainly helped to improve relationships and foster a spirit of Teamwork.
Overall, this FDP on “Life Skill Development of Educators through Inner Transformation” on “Art of Living” was a great success benefiting both physical and mental well-being of the participants and to create a passionate, energized and motivated workforce to address the paradigm shift in teaching and learning process.
