Teachers along with Student of all Grades participated in the international conference

Greater Noida: Grads International School Eta 2 had the opportunity to attend the international conference and PPP festival at India Habitat Center recently. Students of grade VI to IX along with science project coordinator Ms. Shruti Dwivedi, Anweshan Club incharge Ms. Alka Singh and Sports Science teacher Mayank Khari participated in the conference. The POP (Protect Our Planet) Movement was founded on Earth Day in 2016 by Late Dr. R.K. Pachauri who accepted the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007 on behalf of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). His son, Dr. Ash Pachauri now leads the organization. In the festival there were 6 sessions of the conference, 2 workshops, 38 countries, 41 partners, 30 youth speakers and 56 delegates who actively participated. Many of the leaders of UNO and UNDP along with Mr. Kailash Satyarthi, Human Rights Activist, Nobel Peace Prize (2014) Winner also participated through online mode. It was indeed an excellent learning experience for the students and teachers as well.

The Principal of Grads International School, Mrs. Aditi Basu Roy was invited to participate in the high profile programme in the evening: Commemorating “The Legacy of Dr. R.K. Pachauri – A Gala Tribute to The Icon” and was awarded for the school’s participation in Climate Action where a number of ambassadors of different countries of the world and the global climate activists participated. The programme was conducted by the famous TV anchor and news reader Vikram Chandra.
